SWISS will be withdrawing its present ZurichKiev service with effect from the 1st October.

According to the airline the service is being terminated for ‘economic reasons’ as business on the route has failed to develop in line with expectations. With all the political unrest in the area it is no surprise that the route has not been successful.

The service was introduced in the 2013/14 winter schedules.

SWISS customers who have already booked to travel on or after the 1st October can either cancel their reservation or rebook onto a partner airline free of charge.

The Lufthansa Group offers several connections a day between Switzerland and Ukraine, such as via Vienna on Austrian Airlines or via Lufthansa’s Munich or Frankfurt hubs.
