Qatar Airways are to increase flights on its busy Doha – Dubai route, beginning on the 26th October.
The extra daily flights will be to Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport. This will take the number of daily flights to 14 into Dubai International and 4 per day into Dubai World Central.
With Qatar Airways already serving the Doha – Dubai route 91 times a week, the increase in flights in October will take it to 98 a week.
The additional daily flight to DXB will depart at 1000 hrs, arriving in DXB at 1210 hrs and the return flight will leave DXB at 1330 hrs, arriving in DOH at 1335 hrs. To DWC, the fourth daily flight will depart at 0130 hrs, arriving in DWC at 0340 hrs and the return flight will leave DWC at 0625 hrs, arriving in DOH at 0630 hrs.
Qatar Airways has revised its Doha and DXB departure timings to significantly improve customer convenience. The 14 daily flights will depart from DOH on the hour and from DXB on the half hour. With the convenient timing of the flights, local passengers will have greater flexibility added to their travel plans.
Apart from DXB and DWC, Qatar Airways also currently operates three-flights-a-day to Sharjah (SHJ) and six daily flights to Abu Dhabi (AUH), and is the only airline which operates to these four airports within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Akbar Al Baker said: “We are dedicated to increasing our presence in key markets like the UAE and adding capacity on one of our most popular routes like Dubai demonstrates this commitment.”
“As one of our closest neighbours in the Gulf, it is of key importance to offer excellent and frequent air travel connections to the UAE, and the increase in capacity will offer our passengers an even wider variety of options when they are looking to reach their final destinations”, added Mr. Al Baker.
Qatar Airways operates one of the largest global networks and offers passengers seeking to reach Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa and North and South American destinations straightforward connections via Doha.
